Meet the Leadership Team
Larry R. Ellis, General (Retired), US Army
Larry Ellis retired from the US Army as a Four-Star General after serving more than 35 years of active military service. His military career included leadership positions around the globe. He commanded units in the US European Command in Germany, and the First Armored Division while deployed to Bosnia and Herzegovina. He led units in the United Nations Command in South Korea, the US Pacific Command, and the US Forces Command in the United States. In addition, he served in senior staff positions at the Pentagon, where he oversaw multi-year programs and budgets in support of national strategic aims.
Since retirement, Larry Ellis served as the CEO of ESSE an Atlanta based consulting company and President and CEO of Point Blank Solutions, a publicly traded company. Currently, he is Vice Chair of the Board of Regents for Morgan State University and serves on the Advisory Board for Indiana University’s School of Public Health. He is a director on several not-for-profit organizations: the Shepherd Center specializing in medical treatment, research and rehabilitation for people with spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries; he is Chair, of High Impact Network of Responsible Innovators (HINRI) focused on bringing servant leadership, compassion and innovation to solving the world’s most difficult health challenges. He is a director on the board of America Korea Friendship Society, a community organization that seeks to foster and strengthen the relationship between the peoples of the United States and the Republic of Korea; he is an advisor to the Korean Defense Veterans Association. He was formerly a Director on the Board of Armed Forces Benefit Association, an organization that aids those who served in the military and those who serve as civilian first responders.
Formerly, Larry Ellis served as a Presidential appointee on the American Battle Monuments Commission and the National Commission on the Future of the Army. He served as a member of the US Congressionally authorized Vietnam War 50th Commemoration Advisory Committee and he is formerly a gubernatorial appointee to the Board of Regents for the University System of Georgia.
Dick Teters
Dick retired from the US Army after 30 years of service. His first 12 years were served as an Armored Cavalry Officer with two combat commands in Vietnam. Serving the next nine years as a Finance Officer he was dual hatted as the Division Finance Officer and battalion commander for the First Cavalry and 24th Infantry Divisions, and as the Chief of Finance, US Army Forces Command. In his last nine years he commanded the Santa Ana Recruiting Battalion, the 6th Recruiting Brigade, and retired as the Chief of Staff, US Army Recruiting Command.
Serving as a professor of operations and strategic management in one of the five largest business schools in the USA has been his primary focus of his encore career, with sufficient freedom to be a co-founder of three small, high-tech startups and volunteering as a member of State and County boards.
Dick is a co-founder of the Association of US Army Recruiting.
